I came to Scotland 31 years ago and at that time I did not know anything about Jesus. For the last 28 years, I have been a Christian and Jesus has changed everything about my life. He has given me purpose, meaning and direction. I now have the privilege of preaching about Jesus and teaching people the theology of the Bible – in each setting, my desire is to point our attention to Jesus who can save, sustain and bring to his intended destination. Jesus has made such a difference to my life; he has given me joy and peace, he has been my rock through hard times, and he gives me hope and security for the future. Knowing Jesus and being part of his family has been the biggest blessing of my life. Una Davis Carloway Free Church I’m William, and I’m an apprentice at St Columba’s Free Church in Edinburgh. I became a Christian early in my childhood, but it has been in the past few years that I have grown the most in my faith. Knowing Jesus has brought meaning, purpose, forgiveness and renewal to my life; and being part of the church community has been a real blessing and encouragement. William Macsween St Columba’s Free Church I was born and brought up in Wick where I heard about Jesus as a child in Sunday School. At age 8 years I made a very memorable profession of faith, but from my early teens I drifted far away from The Lord. In God’s wonderful providence, in my early thirties He brought me back to Himself into a very real, living relationship, making the past and present so absolutely clear, and I now live each day in the full confidence of spending eternity in His presence. All of God’s amazing grace, so that I look to Jesus in awe and simply say, Hallelujah what a Saviour! This changed my desires; I want to go to church more than anywhere else, I want to please him more than anyone else, I want to tell people about him more than anything else. I grew up being taught about Jesus and in my early teens I came to know Him not just as God but as my Saviour and King. Having new life in Christ Jesus is the greatest gift: my sins are forgiven, I have hope for the future and I continue to see His faithfulness and love towards me each day. He is worthy of all praise and I want others to come to know the good news of life...
